Our tour itinerary includes a mix of group activities and free time to relax and explore on your own, so you never feel rushed. You can expect exceptional food and wine, stunning landscapes, inspiring art and culture, and the company of other extraordinary women!
Florence & Tuscany Tour Itinerary
DAY 1 – Arrive in Florence and transfer to your hotel in the city center. In the afternoon, you’ll meet your tour leader for a walking tour with a local guide. Tonight, we’ll dine together at a favorite local trattoria. (included meals: Dinner; overnight: Florence 1 of 2)
DAY 2 – After breakfast, we’ll meet a local art expert for a guided tour of the masterpieces of the Uffizi Museum. We’ll see works by Botticelli, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and Caravaggio, then enjoy a free afternoon to explore Florence. (included meals: Breakfast; overnight: Florence 2 of 2)
DAY 3 – Today, we leave Florence for our next destination: Siena. We’ll lunch as a group before meeting a local guide for a city walking tour. Tonight we’ll share an unforgettable meal at a special restaurant. (included meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner; overnight: Siena 1 of 2)
DAY 4 – We’ll travel to the famous Chianti wine region for a full day tour. We’ll visit a family-owned winery for a tasting, then stop at an organic farm for lunch. You’ll have free time to explore a charming midieval village before our final stop, where a local winemaker will give us a tasting and tour of his cellar. (included meals: Breakfast, Lunch; overnight: Siena 2 of 2)
DAY 5 – After breakfast, we’ll transfer to San Gimignano, where we’ll stay in a centuries-old hotel with breathtaking views. You’ll have free time to visit the local shops and sample the “world’s best gelato” at Dondoli. In the evening, we’ll learn to make pasta from scratch at the home of a local cook. (included meals: Breakfast, Dinner; overnight: San Gimignano 1 of 3)
DAY 6 – Today we’ll travel to a beautiful estate that has been inhabited by same family for 6 generations, There, we’ll venture into the woods on a truffle hunt with a specially-trained dog, then enjoy a 3-course lunch–featuring truffles, of course! Tonight we’ll dine as a group at a favorite local restaurant. (included meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner; overnight: San Gimignano 2 of 3)
DAY 7 – After a free morning, we’ll visit a local consortium for a guided tasting of the white Vernacchia wines that are only produced in San Gimignano. Then we’ll gather for our farewell dinner at a wonderful restaurant within walking distance of our hotel. (included meals: Breakfast, Dinner; overnight: San Gimignano 3 of 3)
DAY 8 – After breakfast, we’ll say arrivederci to Italy and to the new friends we’ve made! (included meals: Breakfast)
