Our tour itinerary includes a mix of group activities and free time to relax and explore on your own, so you never feel rushed. What you can expect is exceptional food and wine, stunning landscapes, inspiring art and culture, and the company of other extraordinary women!
Paris & the Loire Valley Tour Itinerary
DAY 1 – Arrive in Paris and transfer to your 4-star boutique hotel in the city center. Your tour leader will meet the group in the afternoon for introductions, followed by a cruise on the Seine River, where we’ll pass by Notre Dame, the Louvre, the Musée d’Orsay, and the Eiffel Tower. Tonight, we’ll dine together at a favorite local restaurant. (included meals: dinner; overnight: Paris 1 of 4)
DAY 2 – Today we’ll meet a local chef for a lesson in making everyone’s favorite French snack–crepes! We’ll learn how to make both sweet and savory varieties and then enjoy our creations for lunch. This afternoon we’ll join a guide for a walking tour of Paris’ Latin Quarter, home to many famous artists and writers. Tonight you’ll be able to choose from one of many excellent restaurants within walking distance of our hotel for dinner on your own. (included meals: breakfast, lunch; overnight: Paris 2 of 4)
DAY 3 – After breakfast, we’ll meet a French art expert for a guided tour of the Impressionist masterpieces in the Musée d’Orsay. We’ll see and learn about some famous and lesser-known works by Monet, Renoir, Degas, and Van Gogh. After some free time in the afternoon, we’ll have a special dinner together at a renowned Paris restaurant. (included meals: breakfast, dinner; overnight: Paris 3 of 4)
DAY 4 – This morning we say au revoir to Paris (for now) and depart for the city of Tours, where we’ll have some free time to explore and have lunch before heading south to our next destination, a charming, family-owned hotel in the Loire Valley. This evening we’ll enjoy a 3-course classic French meal together accompanied by local wine. (included meals: breakfast, dinner; overnight: Loire Valley 1 of 3)
DAY 5 – Today we’ll travel to the historic town of Loches for a walking tour with a local guide. From there we’ll drive to our next stop, the breathtaking Chateau Chenonceau, one of the most beautiful castles in France. You’ll have time to wander the gardens and grounds and explore the inside of the 16th-century building, whose architecture includes elements both Gothic and Renaissance. This evening we’ll dine together at a casual local bistro. (included meals: breakfast, dinner; overnight: Loire Valley 2 of 3)
DAY 6 – After breakfast, our group will be picked up for an all-day wine tour in the vineyards of the Loire Valley. We’ll visit three wineries for tastings, touring the cellars, and learning about winemaking in the process. We’ll enjoy a farmhouse lunch between tastings and then return to our hotel in the evening for dinner together. (included meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner; overnight: Loire Valley 3 of 3)
DAY 7 – This morning we say goodbye to our hosts–and the French countryside–and travel back to Paris. On the final night of our tour, we’ll enjoy a delicious farewell dinner together and drink a toast to new friends! (included meals: breakfast, dinner; overnight: Paris 4 of 4)
DAY 8 – After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll bid Paris adieu and transfer to the airport for our flights home. (included meals: breakfast)
